The Independence Community School Board is pleased to present the completion of the baseball outfield repair project. The school has had tremendous community support in first building Mustang Way Park, which opened in the summer of 2016 as well as the enhancements and improvements to the facility ...over the last 9 years. This turf project has helped mitigate drainage issues in the outfield allowing for games and practices after hard rains. Additionally, we are excited to be able to use the new turf throughout the entire year as a multi-purpose field space for other Indee School activity programs and community youth programs. The project was funded through a joint effort between the Independence Community School District and individual donors.

The Independence Community School District, Board of Education, and current and future baseball teams would like to thank the generous donors for their support of the project. The Independence Community School District is excited to provide a high-quality, multi-use activity space to serve the needs and successes of our student activity programs. Thank you for your support!
