2023 School District Boundaries

The Independence Community School District approved new school board boundaries due to the federal census. These boundaries will be effective for the upcoming November school board elections. Director districts number 1, 2, and 3 are all up for election. Please review the maps to see what district you reside in.

If you are interested in running for the school board, you can download the nomination papers from the Iowa Secretary of State website or contact Laura Morine, Board Secretary, at 319-332-0458. It is recommended to have 60 signatures on the nomination forms.
