Our school nurses support student success by providing health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children within the school setting. School nurses address the physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of all students and support their achievement in the learning process.

Our nurses practice per the NASN Core Values, NASN Code of Ethics, and professional standards of practice. Their decision-making is guided by principles that promote improved student health, academic success, and excellence in school health services.

Independence Community School District is fortunate to have a full-time RN in every building, all day, every day, which helps lead to the academic success of our students.

For more information, please contact one of our nurses or see the ICSD Nursing Services website.
