First Grade

First Grade provides challenging and engaging experiences for all students. We work together to provide the best education for our students. One central component of a great school system is a clear set of expectations, or standards. The Iowa Core represents our academic standards. Literacy is one area that first grade focuses on because we know that literacy is vital to student learning. One special trip first graders get to enjoy is a field trip to a dairy farm. This field trip supports state science standards and it is a great opportunity for our students to engage in hands on learning.
