Junior Senior High Links
The Independence Community School District offers computer technology classes for high school students. All freshmen students are required to take Computer Skills 9, which focuses on introducing students to the Windows Operating System. Here students will work on keyboarding as well as be introduced Microsoft Products that are available on the computers. After taking Computer Skills 9, students will have the opportunity to work in other classes such as Power Point Galore!, Computer Applications, Computer Graphics, Desktop Publishing, and Web Page Design. Each of these classes will offer new and unique experiences where students can work on advancing their skills with computers. During these classes, students will have opportunities to help keep the informational televisions located on Main Street at the high school, the Jumbotron in the Gymnasium, the Iowa Hall of Pride, and other school related entities updated with new visuals and information screens.
