Mustang Mentoring Program
What is the Mentor Program?
A school-based program serving K-12 students district wide. Adults are matched with a student and become a role model and a friend to them.
It helps the student with a positive attitude, improved attendance, and social skills.
Personal satisfaction, community involvement, provide leadership, and teach by example.
Mentors are matched with students based on their need and interests. Mentors and students meet for 30-45 minutes a week, during the school day, on the school grounds. Mentoring activities can include: playing games, reading, helping with homework, eating lunch together, going outside for recess, talking about their day, etc.
Communication is a key element in helping to ensure the success of your student in the ICSD. We encourage sharing of information between home and school.
