ICSD to Host Girls Basketball Post Season Events
January 30, 2014 (Independence, IA) – Independence High School Activities Director, Rob Arnold, is pleased to share that the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union announced ICSD as the location to host three post season Girls Basketball events. These events include; class 3A sub-state for Region 4 (Feb. 22, 7pm), class 1A sub-state final for Region 3 (Feb. 24, 7pm), and class 4A sub-state for Region 2 (Feb. 25, 7pm). The winners of each of these games will advance to the Girls Basketball State Tournament.
This opportunity will bring many out of town visitors to the Independence community and give guests the chance to enjoy our new facility. This exciting privilege wouldn’t be possible if not for our new 17,500 square foot gymnasium that includes a press box, suites, and more than 2,000 seats.
To ensure the success of these events; ICSD is in need of volunteers for the following:
- Saturday, February 22nd: 3 Ticket Takers
- Monday, February 24th: 3 Ticket Takers
- Tuesday February 25th: 3 Ticket Takers
All workers will get complimentary concession stand cards.
