ICSD Students Receive Best of Show at WaMac Art Show
April 19, 2016, (Independence, IA) – The 2016 Annual WaMaC Art Show, held at a different WaMaC school each year, was recently hosted at Marion High School. A group of Independence Community School District (ICSD) art students, under the instruction of Art teacher Christine Juhl, entered their best work into a number of different categories at the showcase.
With some categories having more than 15 entries, Mustang students were overjoyed to receive the most first place awards of all the WaMaC schools in attendance. Overall, the ICSD students placed first in four categories, second in one category and third in two categories. Additionally, Independence was honored to receive the Best of Show Overall Award in the 2-D category.
