Indee Mustang Archers Advance to State, March 3 and 4

The Indee Mustang Archers, an after school club for students grade 4th – 12th, is excited to announce that their high school team along with select individuals in their middle school and elementary school teams have qualified to compete at the State Archery Tournament in Des Moines on March 3rd and 4th.

Initiated in 2016, the Indee Mustang Archers is part of NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) and just finished their second regular season, which runs from December through mid-February. This year 69 students took part in the program; meeting twice a week at West Elementary gym for practices.

Coach Kriss McGraw stated, “Every member of the Indee Mustang Archers has put in hours of hard work. It is great to see these students from all grade levels work together; camaraderie is really at work here. We are proud of all participants and excited that we have teams and individuals moving onto the state competition, in just our second year of participation.”

Matt Bolton, Meghan Bolton, Megan Bussan, Anna Cusher, Nicholas Cusher, Max Erger, Cara Fischels, Spencer Giddings, Ashlyn Hemsath, Grace Janaszak, Courtney Kelly, Brittney Klever, Hannah Koch, Ben Kremer, Nick Kremer, Bailey Lawler, Ashton Lolwing, Garrett Morris, Talon Rodriguez, Avri Ruffcorn, Justin Schmadeke, Hailey Scott, Joshua Solon and Keegan Zimmerly.

Middle School Individuals
Brady Clark, Ryan DeBoer, Jacob Elzey, Alex Heyl, Brooke Klever, Madison Mestad and Seth Stacy.

Elementary Individuals
MacKenzie Christian and Gavin Mestad.

Team Coaches

Teams and individuals that qualify for Nationals will travel to Louisville, KY to compete in May.
