Independence School District Unveils New Website

Independence, IA (January 31, 2018) – Independence Community School District, in partnership with Fusion Forward, LLC, has launched a new mobile-friendly website to help students and parents keep up with news and changes in the district. From the home page, visitors will have access to the latest announcements and can find out which activities are taking place that day.

We are very excited about the new look for our schools’ website. It was time for us to review it, make it better, and easier to navigate for staff, students, parents, and community members. I want to sincerely thank Steve Noyes, our Director of Technology, and Fusion Forward for their assistance with this project. We couldn’t have done it without them,” Superintendent Russell Reiter said in a statement about the new website.

The previous website, which was originally designed and launched in 2011, was ready for an update to reflect the current trends in visitor satisfaction. The new website boasts simpler navigation, an updated design, and streamlined access to the information needed most by parents, students and staff. Simply use one of five drop-downs or the quick-link menu to access the most important information about the district. The website is also designed for ease of use for cell phone visitors. In the past five years, the number of visitors to websites from cell phones has dramatically increased prompting a need for a more phone-friendly website.

In addition to the website, communication regarding the district may be accessed through the ICSD Facebook page or through the ICSD mobile app which is available for download on both the Google Play and Apple App stores.
