Jr./Sr. High Students Earn Excellent Grades in Term 1
November 22, 2016 (Independence, IA) – With the first quarter of the 2016-2017 school year complete and student grade data compiled, the Independence Community School District (ICSD) building administrators are pleased with the outcome of student grades.
The Junior/Senior High School grade point data shows that ICSD students are doing well. Grade point averages were compiled and below are the results of students with a 3.0 grade point average or higher.
- 4.0 GPA – 140 students
- 3.5 – 3.99 GPA – 183 students
- 3.0 – 3.49 GPA – 125 students
Out of all of our students we have 448 with a 3.0 GPA or above; that is over 60% of the student body. Hard work and determination have definitely paid off during this first quarter and the students are doing a great job.
Principal Howard states, “Having over 60% of our students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher is a great accomplishment for the students and the staff. They should be very proud. I am very proud of them and the work they have put in.”
