Leinbaugh Complex Paver Project in Full-Swing

July 9, 2013 (Independence, IA) –John Allston once said, “The only thing you take with you when you’re gone is what you leave behind.” It’s with this kind of spirit that the paver project at the Leinbaugh Complex was born.  Donors have made the project possible by purchasing engraved pavers which will be installed on July 22nd. Currently, the area between the concession stand and Multi-Purpose facility is being paved thanks to a donation from Webb Concrete.

Concrete has already been poured and the “I” shape will be filled with engraved maroon pavers between the Multi-Purpose Facility and the east side of the concession stand. More engraved pavers will be installed on the south side of the concession stand between it and the track.

“The pavers are a unique way to help beautify the complex area with a hard surface while also showing your Mustang spirit, advertising your business, or even memorializing a loved one,” said Rusty Donnelly, one of the project coordinators. “We still have opportunities for individuals, organizations, and businesses to participate in the project. There are roughly 6 picnic tables left which will have plaques in the middle of them and we also have more space for engraved pavers.”

If you are interested in purchasing a paver or picnic table plaque, please contact Rusty Donnelly, Brian Eddy, or the Independence Community School Administration Office by July 22nd. Anyone who finalizes their donation by July 22nd will have their paver installed this year.
