Mustang Girls Soccer Team Headed to Sub-State, May 31
May 24, 2016, (Independence, IA) – On Thursday, May 19th, the Independence girls soccer team ended their regular season with a 8 to 0 win over South Tama; but their season journey doesn’t end there, the team will be competing towards the state competition.
The sub-state game is set for Tuesday, May 31st at the Independence Mustang’s Leinbaugh Field. The game starts at 6:00 pm and admission will be $6.00. To view the entire Class 2A Regional Soccer Pairings, visit the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Soccer website.
Coach Savannah Dupeyrat stated, “Every single member of this team has put in hours of hard work. It is great to see them be rewarded for their hard work by getting a by for the first round of sub-state, and to be recognized for their achievements at the banquet. These girls have truly earned every bit of their season, and we are excited to see where the post-season leads us!”
