New Basketball Hoops and Balls Donated to School District
October 2, 2014 (Independence, IA) – The Independence Community School District would like to extend their appreciation to Chad Beatty and the many volunteers who donated and helped with the installation of four new basketball hoops at the East/West Elementary playground.
Volunteers that helped with the hoop installation process, whether that was carrying items, holding supplies, or just offering a kind helping hand, include:

- Matthew Decker (current HS Senior)

The District also extends a sincere appreciation to Chad and Tricia Beatty for their donation of 10 new basketballs to West Elementary.
The playground at East/West Elementary is a place that encourages physical activity, fosters teamwork and houses energetic students. The new hoop installation and ball donation are welcomed additions to this vibrant atmosphere.
