Successful FFA Review Night

The Independence FFA Chapter had a successful NE District FFA Review Night at Edgewood-Colesburg on Wednesday February 6th. Sophomore Avery Hanaway was slated to the FFA District Officer Ballot and will present a 2 minute speech on March 9th at District FFA Convention as she runs for SW Sub-District Vice President! If elected, Avery will become the first FFA District Officer in Independence FFA history since the program restarted in 2013. There are 37 FFA Chapters in the NE District and 6 total Districts in Iowa.

Kenzie Fischels and Joe Kaiser also had their Iowa Degree Applications approved and will receive their Iowa Degree at State FFA Convention April 14th-16th in Ames. Congratulations to these members and their achievements!
